Each choice option declares what it changes, and a deterministic validator diffs every pair of branches before they ship. Options that would collapse into the same story are rejected and rewritten. Every story renders as a living map: the paths you've walked, the branches you skipped, and the endings gallery for the finales you've reached. What you haven't visited stays honestly hidden — unexplored titles and unreached endings render as ??? until you earn them. Your own stories and detours appear on your map and nobody else's.

Commissioning isn't a side feature — it's the product. The catalog exists to show you what the machinery can do; the machinery exists so a book only you would order can be begun in an afternoon and steered for as long as it stays interesting.
Honesty is enforced, not promised
Every choice pair passes a deterministic validator that diffs the branches across the story's canonical dimensions. Options that don't genuinely diverge never ship — in the examples, and in the novel the forge writes for you.
A firm spine, a free hand
The forge doesn't improvise a book — it authors a spine for yours: acts, canonical dimensions, ending funnels. Then the AI replans only the horizon ahead of you. Structure holds your plot together; your choices decide which plot it is.
Billing you can audit
Flat prices, a visible ledger, and a hard rule: never overcharge, refund in full on failure. A refused brief or a failed chapter costs you nothing. Reading the shared examples is free because the platform pays for shared chapters — never you.
Novels, not chat logs
Chapters are written to be read: planned against a story bible, checked for continuity, exportable as a real EPUB. The AI is held to the craft of the book, not the meander of a conversation — which is why your story still reads like one at chapter twenty.

You read it. Each chapter ends at a choice point, and the choice you make writes the next chapter — a flat 15 ⬡ each, as deep as the story holds. There's nothing to prompt or configure between chapters: the story grows out of the decisions you make inside it, and the spine the forge authored keeps it landing like a novel.
What's a credit?
The ⬡ is the platform's single currency. Beginning your own story: remix 50, blank page 100 (one revision included). Continuing it: 15 per chapter. On the shared examples: reading is 0, rolling three fork pitches 2, a fork chapter 15, rejoining canon 0. Your Edition: 5. Free accounts refill 50 ⬡ monthly; Reader and Explorer refill 150 and 400.

Measurably. Every story declares canonical dimensions — the axes its plot can move on — and each choice option carries the changes it commits. A deterministic validator diffs every pair of branches; options that don't genuinely diverge are rejected and regenerated. That check runs on every choice point in every story, including the ones the forge writes for you.
Who can see my story?
You. Commissioned novels are private by default — they never enter the catalog, the shared maps, or anyone's recommendations, and there is no path that shares them by accident. (Promotion into shared canon exists only for fork corridors you chart on shared stories, and only when you submit one yourself.)
What are the catalog stories for, then?
They're the worked examples — and the free tier of the whole product. Read them to feel how honest branching reads before you commission; fork them when a detour tempts you; remix their worlds into a story of your own for 50 ⬡. Everyone reads canon free, forever; it just isn't the destination.
What happens when a generation fails?
You get every credit back, automatically — reservations release in full and the ledger shows it. That covers refused briefs, failed forges, and failed chapters alike. Never overcharging is a platform rule with tests behind it, not a support policy.

We onboard deliberately, cohort by cohort, with personal attention on the first commissions. Ask for an invite and tell us the book you'd order first — it genuinely steers what the forge learns to do next.
Do I own what I make? Where does the AI run?
Your commissioned stories, playthroughs, and exported editions are yours to keep and read forever, on any device. Generation runs on frontier models under our own keys, through our own gateway, with the deterministic validator between the model and your page — and nothing you write or choose is used to train anything.
